Two southern New Jersey assemblymen are proposing a partial ban on plastic bags. Though the proposal is controversial, banning plastic bags would be a relatively effortless way to protect the environment, save energy and reduce a danger to wildlife as well as dogs and other pets. It would also make New Jersey a lot prettier by cutting down on the number of ugly bags that get stuck in trees, on telephone polls and in storm drains.
